WSCC Recognizes 2023 Graduates

MARIETTA, OHIO —Washington State Community College (WSCC) celebrated the class of 2023 during its commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13. In total, the college conferred 294 associate degrees and 238 certificates to its 392 graduates. Included in the graduating class are 42 College Credit Plus high school students.

In her commencement address to the graduates, WSCC President Dr. Vicky Wood encouraged students to aim for greatness. “Your education equips you to transition into the next phase of your life, whether that is launching your career or pursuing additional education. You will enter a rapidly evolving world that is becoming more competitive every day, and a key component of your success will be your ability to maintain relevance,” said Wood. “My advice to you today as you point yourself toward your future–make sure you AIM. By AIM I refer to your ability to Adapt, Innovate, and make your Mark.”
