Transient/Guest Student
If youβre currently enrolled at another college and want to take courses at Washington State to transfer them back to your home institution, you are considered a transient/guest student. Transient students are not required to submit high school or college transcripts to WSCO. We welcome you and look forward to supporting your educational journey.
How to Enroll as a Transient / Guest Student
- Apply for admission
Apply using our online application.
Important:- Use a personal email address (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), not your school email.
- Select βYesβ when asked if you are a transient student.
- Meet with your advisor at your home institution
Confirm which courses will transfer back and apply toward your degree. - Select your courses
- View available classes in the course schedule.
- Read course descriptions in the course catalog.
- Check transfer equivalencies using Transferology.
- Set up your MyWSCO account
After acceptance, youβll receive instructions to access MyWSCO and your WSCO email. This step is required to view your schedule and online courses. - Submit the Transient / Guest Registration Form
Submit the
Transient / Guest Registration Form
and include your home institution and selected courses (example: MATH 2110). - Register for classes
Once processed by the Records Office, your schedule will appear in Student Planning and a copy will be sent to your WSCO email. - Pay tuition and fees
All fees must be paid by the published
fee payment deadline.- Pay online through Student Planning.
- Payment plans are available.

- Purchase textbooks
Find required materials through the WSCO Bookstore. - Transfer your credits
After final grades post, request an official Washington State transcript to be sent to your home institution through Student Planning. - Explore student resources

Want to Stay Longer?
If you decide to pursue a degree or certificate at Washington State, submit official transcripts from your current institution to the Records Office and high school transcripts to the Admissions Office. Youβll also need to declare a major using a change-of-major form. Once declared, youβll be assigned an Academic Advisor.
