Engineering Transfer
The Engineering Transfer program provides the basic core requirements for transfer into a university or college engineering baccalaureate program.
Program emphasis is placed on completing mathematics and science sequences, along with humanities, social, and behavioral science electives.
To facilitate a smooth transfer to a four-year college or university, consultation with an academic advisor, department chair, or the director of advising and transfer is strongly recommended during the first academic year. Students are encouraged to seek guidance from both the transfer institution and the prospective receiving institution.
Prerequisite coursework in mathematics or science may be required before enrolling in prescribed transfer courses. This foundational coursework is essential for success and may increase the time needed to complete the associate degree.
Completion of the Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Transfer meets the requirements of the Ohio Transfer Module (OT36).
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Apply mathematics, physics, and reasoning skills to solve problems.
- Analyze and adopt defensible positions on historical or current issues.
- Transfer into a Bachelor of Science degree program in Engineering.
- Apply fundamental methods of engineering mechanics successfully.
