MARIETTA, OHIO β The Radiologic Technology program at Washington State College of Ohio, in partnership with Marietta Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and Memorial Health System, offers students the best of both worlds. Through this collaboration, students earn a certificate in radiologic technology from the sponsoring institution along with an Associate of Applied Science degree from WSCO, both required to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) boards. This strong partnership ensures outstanding student outcomes, exceptional faculty support, and valuable clinical training opportunitiesβsetting graduates up for success in the field.
That commitment to excellence is reflected in the latest achievement: the WSCO/MMH Class of 2025 Radiologic Technology cohort has achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the ARRT examination.
This remarkable milestone reflects not only the dedication of the students but also the quality of the programβs instruction and support. To prepare, students completed two years of rigorous coursework, registry preparation seminars, and countless mock registriesβall designed to strengthen their knowledge and confidence heading into this challenging national exam.
The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) formally recognizes first-time pass rates as part of its program effectiveness data, underscoring the significance of this achievement.
βThe success seen by the Class of 2025 was truly a joint effort between students and instructors. Students took advantage of every learning opportunity, both in the classroom and in the clinic, which really set them apart,β stated Aimee Phillips, Radiologic Technology Program Director at WSCO/MMH.
Graduates who earn ARRT certification are nationally recognized as meeting the highest standards in radiologic technology, ensuring that WSCO/MMH students are well-prepared to begin their careers providing quality, compassionate care to patients in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers.
βMany in the class went above and beyond by participating in optional sessions provided by their instructors. Their dedication and willingness to put in the extra effort made a significant difference in their success,β said Phillips.
The application deadline for the next Radiologic Technology program cohort is February 6th. For more information about the Radiologic Technology program at WSCO/MMH, contact Aimee Phillips, Program Director at aphillips2@wscc.edu or at 740.885.5728.
